The Iranian Art and Architecture Exhibition was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) officials, Iranian cultural figures in Germany and some Iranian artists at IFA Gallery in Stuttgart.
Head of IFA Ursula Seiler-Albring and director of Arts Department of Baden-Württemberg State Ministry of Science, Research and Art Claudia Rose delivered speeches in the opening ceremony, IRNA wrote.
Head of IFA said it was necessary for Iran and Germany to develop cultural ties, adding this can play a major role in broadening economic ties between the two countries.
Referring to recent trips to Iran by Baden-Württemberg economic delegations, director of Arts Department of Baden-Württemberg State Ministry of Science, Research and Art said that Iran is a stable country which needs to reconstruct its economy and German companies have expressed their readiness to meet Iran's infrastructural needs.
Iranian Art Exhibition was inspired by Venice Biennale as one of the most famous architecture biennials in the world.
Growth and development in Iran's architecture in the 21st century was reviewed and pictures of building and monuments showing a new process of interpreting Iran's historical heritage were put on display at the event.
The exhibition will run until July 3.
