Ten new art galleries in Tehran received permits from the Visual Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
The permits were issued in the past three months, Azad News Agency (ANA) reported.
The new galleries are authorized to hold cultural activities. They are Gouya, Jam, Aryana, B, Dargoun, Iranshahr, Farda, Chahar. Two other galleries ‘Tehran’ and ‘Honar’ are affiliated to the Culture Ministry.
Currently, over 200 art galleries in Tehran are authorized to work. Over 90% of them belong to private owners.
