Tehran SAMA quoted Majid Paksaz, Tehran Municipality’s director general for town planning and city projects, as saying that the plan to improve situation of Lalehzar and Ferdowsi avenues is going through final stages of approval and a final plan will be soon provided. At present, the consultant is going through the plan and preparing a list of goals, strategies, and solutions.
“Since Lalehzar is a historical avenue and had been once a major artery in old Tehran, we aim to revive its identity,” he said.
Paksaz added that Lalehzar had been a place for recreation and pastimes, but it has now turned into a center for dealers in electronic devices. “Therefore, we aim to reestablish its connection to its historical past,” he added.
