Head of the Arts Office at Tehran Municipality’s General Department for Women’s Affairs announced that the second festival for making the best artifacts of garbage and discarded material will be kicked off in 22 districts of Tehran in late July.
Shahr.ir quoted Narges Rasoulzadeh as saying that last year’s festival was quite a hit and this year’s event will bank on last year’s experiences to become more overarching and institutionalize the best consumption pattern.
“The first phase of the festival has been dedicated to cost-free educational workshops for small children, adolescents, young adults and adults and workshops will be launched in August and October in 22 districts of Tehran,” she said.
She noted that the last stage will be held in December and will include an exhibition of selected works at Goftegou park.
“Workshops will be held simultaneously attended by big artists to teach Tehran citizens,” she said.
