Hojjatollah Mollasalehi, managing director of Tehran Beautification Organization, noted that a lighting conference held by Tehran Municipality focused on city lighting and latest technologies. He added that after formulation and final adoption of the comprehensive lighting plan of Tehran by Tehran Islamic City Council, this problem will be solved in the capital city.
He added that there are parts of Tehran that lack lighting and are among unsafe places and Tehran Municipality is determined to solve that problem.
The official stated that Azadi Square has already been beautified with new lighting system and is no more an unsafe location.
“Due to presence of historical buildings in Tehran and elsewhere in the country, due attention should be paid to lighting issue,” he said.
