According to SAMA, role of public relations departments in promoting social assets was discussed in the fourth international symposium on public relations at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting International Conference Hall.
During the event, jury of the fourth international symposium on public relations selected Tehran mayor as the exemplary urban manager respecting people and awarded him with a commendation plaque.
Also, special medal of the symposium was given to Tehran Municipality.
Tehran Mayor Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf then addressed the symposium saying that Ashura and Karbala were materialization of perfect man in history of humanity and depicts a perfect man in terms of loving life, sacrifice and informed choice of right. “We must take social lessons from it and use it as our guiding light.”
The mayor added that public relations are a kind of discourse which includes four main propositions: communications, interactive and dynamic participation, transparency and information, progress and advancement.
Ghalibaf said although social assets reduced in Iran in a certain period and it had untoward effects on development, but public relations as a discourse is also an opportunity for the Iranian government and society.
