For the first time in Iran, two mechanized multistory car parks will be built at Azadi and Fath squares of Tehran. The new facilities will be built according to an agreement signed with Germany and Japan for delivery of robotic parts.
SAMA quoted Mohammad Mohammad-Doust, managing director of Tadbir Bafteh Company, as saying that in these parking lots, cars are put on a moving plain by a robot and will be parked in the place considered for them and all the stages are carried out without any need to drivers.
“Fath parking lot will accommodate 350 cars while Azadi Square parking lot will take in 150 cars,” he added.
The official noted that both parking lots will be built at the highest possible speed and will be made operational before the end of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2008).
